βI think a major difference after graduation is that you donβt have the little interactions with sisters- studying together, random coffee dates, walking to classes together, etc. I became involved with the CAA to continue growing relationships, extend the sisterhood more, and support active house! I miss working with sisters on events, projects, and anything they are passionate about.β

βBeing a sister and chapter leader in akdphi during my undergrad career shaped me into the womxn I am today. I love being a part of CAA because I want to help give back to my littles, kids, fam, sisters, and rising leaders in the chapter! Since starting a CAA was one of our biggest aspirations, it felt time to finally establish it with a group of sisters who always inspired me during my active career.β

βI live for days off when I can just curl up in bed with some hot cocoa or tea and read! During quarantine last year, my CAA pres Mimi inspired me to start a booksta (follow us lol @marisreadsagain and @notesfrommimi) and I'm happy to say we are def living up to our new grannie lifestyles.β

βSince Iβve crossed, weβve always wanted to form a CAA and so naturally itβs something I really wanted to make happen after graduating; to continue to connect our sxsters. Iβve always been passionate about this organization and overall have had a very positive undergraduate experience that I want to help make possible for younger sisters as well. I know college can be a very difficult and challenging time and hope to be able to alleviate some of that stress for undergraduate sxsters through providing guidance and support.β

βI built my own PC (!!) and have been gaming with friends or watching movies to destress after long work days.β

βMy favorite memory is always the same, which is road-tripping to UNC with the best kids and my line sister, Heather. I think the reason it holds such a special place in my heart is because we originally went because I was going through a really tough time and needed some cheering up. When we arrived, we were met by our pbros and UNC sisters with open arms. They spent the entire weekend with us and took us to 13+ food/drink places, which as a foodie was extra fun for me, all making this a very special and heartwarming memory.β

βBeing able to work alongside passionate, hard working sisters is a feeling I miss from my active years. Being involved with the CAA is just another wonderful opportunity to work alongside them again and reconnect with sisters to continue growing those relationships. Iβve gained so much during my time as an active and I hope to give back and support the active house/younger sisters through the CAA!β

βRecently Iβve gotten into twitch streaming to try it out! But besides that, I typically binge watch lots of shows on Netflix and Hulu while munching on snacks. :β) β

βI honestly have too many to call a favorite but if I were to pick one, it would be spring 19 installs! It was my senior send off as well as my kids installation and I couldnβt have asked for a better night. I was surrounded by my fam (lots of loveβ€οΈ) and super proud to show off my kids and celebrate them joining the sisterhood!β

β I have so many favorite memories, but I'll pick just one: Traveling with a few sisters to Duke University for our Southeastern Sisterhood Retreat. To the sisters - thanks for letting me drive y'all, we made it in one piece.β
